Overview

In this engaging session, speaker and futurist Don Phin will walk attendees through the emotional terrain of rapid change. You’ll learn how to recognize common resistance reactions (the Victim, the Sheep, and the Champion), how to guide each of them, and how to manage your own story and energy in uncertain times. The "Coax-Encourage-Inspire" model offers an uplifting way to lead, adapt, and thrive.

Why you should Attend

We’re living in an era of exponential disruption-AI, automation, and technological shifts are transforming work and life.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by the speed of change-especially around AI-you’re not alone. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) are natural responses that we all experience.

While many programs address strategy and tools, few focus on the emotional experience of navigating change. This session bridges that gap, offering a clear emotional roadmap for staying centered, productive, and anti-fragile amid uncertainty.

Areas Covered in the Session

  • How AI and rapid change are disrupting every profession
  • Why emotional stories shape our reactions-and what to do about it
  • Three common responses to change (Victim, Sheep, Champion) and how to manage them
  • The emotional costs of disengagement and resistance
  • The Coax-Encourage-Inspire model for shifting energy and mindset
