Judith W. Umlas is an experienced author and publishing expert with a rich history in the literary world. She formed her family publishing company in January 2022, bringing a unique perspective on self-publishing and traditional publishing. Judith is also known for her work on acknowledgment and appreciation in the workplace, which has influenced her approach to writing and publishing.
Judith W. Umlas is the author of The Power of Acknowledgment, an inspirational, motivational and action-oriented book which drives home the need for acknowledgment. It also applies these principles to leadership skills, growth and development in the workplace, as well as in everyday life. Following the publication of this book, Ms. Umlas wrote Grateful Leadership, Using the Power of Acknowledgment to Engage All Your People and Achieve Superior Results, and You’re Totally Awesome, the Power of Acknowledgment for Kids.
Ms. Umlas has trained over 100,000 people on the Power of Acknowledgment and Grateful Leadership, including executives of the NYC Police Department, the U.S. Department of Justice, the World Bank and hundreds of corporations and government agencies - all to outstanding reviews. These include Volvo, the U.S. Army, Prudential, JMP Engineering, the Fannie Mae, IBM, AT&T, Google, Amway, MD Anderson, Wartsila in Finland, the NANA Development Corporation. She delivered a keynote address at the IPMA Conference to 800 project managers in Helsinki, Finland, the closing keynote address to Recognition Professionals, International, and to the American Society of Association Executives Executive Leadership Forum.
