Overview

None of us are born with preconceived ideas as to who we are and what we will become. It is the influences and influencers in our lives that help mold us and establish how we think, decide, and act. We have all had great influences in our lives. These people have helped us with our education, career, and life in general. They show us that we are not expected to know everything about everything. Rather, we can rely on others for help when needed. The trick is choosing the individuals right for you to rely on.

This webinar is a reflection on what great mentorship is, what happens when it’s absent, and how leadership shapes our lives. Wherever you are in your life and career, the wisdom shared in this webinar will help you go further. I have worked for and with over 300 companies and many individuals throughout my 40-year career. I have helped them to earn or save millions of dollars and create and retain thousands of jobs. While doing so, I learned many things, both positive and negative, that helped to form my professional approach and philosophy. In this webinar   I share with you what has had an impact on my professional career and my approach to life in general.

In this webinar we will cover:

Why encouragement and help from others helps to guide us along. Without these we are on our own which is not a good place to be. We need others to help us at different times and we should be grateful to them for all that they do for us.

We will then cover why you need a plan whether in business or in our personal lives. Without a direction and  a plan we truly live the saying, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there”. And where we wind up may not be where we want to be.

Next, we cover the longer term and such things as our importance, rules we live by, living what and who we say we are and in the end who we can depend on. These things are all important to our ongoing successes. As we continue through life and business we will meet new people, learn new things, and change our viewpoints either slightly or sometimes radically. We need to do this in an ever-changing world in order to maintain and build upon our success.

Finally, we will cover how we continue our learnings through dealing with others, trusting but verifying that they have our best interests and heart and continuing to learn by listening to and considering perspectives that are different than our own. Unless we do these things, we will plateau and as the saying goes, “Grow or die”. We certainly want the former and not the latter.

You will learn a lot about yourself through this webinar and just what makes you function the way you do. More importantly you will learn to listen to others and choose wisely what you want to be like now and in the future.

Why you should Attend

There are many aspects to why businesses are successful or struggle and in doing so may ultimately fail. In dealing with over 300 companies through my consulting experience and career, I have seen both sides. There is a fine line between being successful and not. It boils down to the choices we make and the actions we take.

The choices we make and the actions we take are all a part of our learnings and experiences. We are influenced by those who surround us, family, friends, teachers, co-workers, bosses, and other associates. Through living and working with them we are influenced by what they say and do both in general and regarding us personally.

We all want to be successful. The question is, “Will we do what it takes, to be so?”  We all have the chance to do so. Yet not everyone does. As you hear about what others did or are doing, you will relate to your own experiences. These are not unique to a few. We see these things happen all the time.

While this topic developed from business experience, the lessons learned apply to our everyday lives as well. The decisions we make and the actions we take determine how successful and enjoyable our lives will be.
