Overview

Everyone is communicating but few are connecting. Being an effective listener means listening to connect with and learn something new from a person, instead of just listening to respond. Being mindful of the way you're communicating with your conversational partner will help you build relationships. At home, practicing effective listening will help develop resourceful, self-reliant kids. Being able to understand and discourse with your colleagues and supervisor can advance your career. Additionally, practicing mindful listening with your romantic partner will no doubt help foster a deeper bond.

Why you should Attend

In this day and age, learning how to cut through the distractions and really listen to the words someone is saying is a skill that everyone can improve on. If you're looking to set yourself apart as a leader, a friend, a partner, or an employee, this is a skill that you need!

Can you think of any relationships you've had that may have been ruined by a lack of clear communication? Perhaps a misunderstanding caused by one party not listening to the other party the way they should have been?
