Speaker Profile
Dr David Katz a native of Brooklyn NY grew up in Southern New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, TX. and completed his medical training in Michigan. His medical career continued in Canton, OH where he practiced pediatrics from 1981 and Functional Medicine from 2007 until 2013 when he moved to the North Carolina Triangle to be near four of his seven grandchildren and practice medicine. He is currently semi-retired.
He has always believed in the body’s inherent ability to heal and was thrilled to learn of Functional Medicine and the tools used to discover the root cause of chronic disease and help return the body to its optimal state. He has treated many patients utilizing the Functional Medicine approach.
Dr. Katz has been certified in Pediatrics, Functional Medicine and Medical Hypnosis. As of April 2019, he is one of about 50 doubly certified practitioners in Pediatrics and Functional Medicine worldwide.
He has brought his expertise in these areas to many venues and lectures extensively on these topics to diverse audiences.
