Overview

A business plan should not be optional. It is essential for all new enterprises and startups. It details what the business is all about, at least 5 years of planned growth, and how the company will meet those goals. It is used as a roadmap for the company and as information for potential investors and / or lenders. Without this there is little chance that any professional person would even consider investing or lending money.

This webinar covers what a business plan is all about and what is needed in it to make it worthwhile.  Covered are the following areas.”

What is a business plan – A business plan is a document that details a company's goals and how it plans to achieve them.

Importance of a plan - A good business plan guides you through each stage of starting and managing your business. You'll use your business plan like a GPS for how to structure, run, and grow your new business. It's a way to think through and detail all the key elements of how your business will run.

What is included in a plan - The legal structure of your business (corporation, sole proprietorship, etc.) A brief history, the nature of your business, and the needs or demands you plan to supply. An overview of your products/services, customers, and suppliers. A summary of company growth, including financial or market highlights.

We will discuss all of these aspects. Once covered the participants will at least know why to have a business plan and what needs to be in it to make it worthwhile. Too many have business plans that are not complete, are pie in the sky plans, or are just poorly written and cannot be substantiated. In those cases, they may do more harm than good.

Once you are aware of what is needed, you should get a person experienced in developing plans to assist you. You are then on your way to a good foundational step for you business.

Why you should Attend

There are too many businesses that start off on the wrong foot. They never develop a proper plan that provides a direction for their business both who they want to be, where they want to be and how they will get there.

Even businesses that have been in business for a bit should have a business plan. It provides direction not only for the owners but to those who may be asked to invest in the enterprise or to loan it money. Without a business plan, no self-respecting business person or organization would do either.

This webinar provides key information to those responsible for developing a plan on the How’s, whys and what’s of a plan.
