Overview

For years, organizations have attempted to integrate stretching and warm-up into the workplace. The problem has been employee resistance, time constraints, perceived costs, and low compliance. This session introduces a fun, simple, practical, and EFFECTIVE strategy that allows organizations to bring stretching into the workplace in a way that maximizes participation, reduces resistance, and gets great results.

Blink is based on a fairly simple concept; Blinking! Employees blink their eyes all day long in order to keep their eyes comfortable. The blinks take virtually no time at all, and the impact is powerful enough to keep the eyes fresh all day. The muscles of the body function the same way. During the workday, they fatigue, and as they fatigue, the risk of injury goes up. All they really need is a periodic "Blink" or stretch to keep them fresh and productive and reduce the risk of injury.

Not only is the Blink process easy to understand and simple to implement, but it is also an extremely EFFECTIVE way to reduce the risk of strains and sprains at work. Warming up and stretching at the beginning of a shift is good, but as the body continues to work fatigue builds, and "blinking" (stretching) gives the body what it needs, when it needs it. Management likes Blink because it takes very little time and costs very little money. Supervisors like Blink because they don’t need to "babysit" or manage it and employees like it because they own it, it is personal to them and it really works.

Why you should Attend

This webinar is for those who have the desire to reduce strains and sprains and are thinking about bringing a stretching and warm-up program to their workplace. It’s also for those who have an existing stretching and warm-up program that is underperforming and needs to be re-energized.

There are numerous concerns that surface when companies consider launching a stretching and warm-up program. This includes what the program is going to look like and who is going to be responsible for it, how much time it is going to eat up and how much it’s going to cost. Additional concerns are how it will be received, whether or not anyone will participate and whether or not it will even work. These are all legitimate concerns, and all of these are addressed as part of this innovative stretching and warm-up program.
