Overview

A New Kind of Diversity gives stirring reflections of the past generations and a glimpse into future generations. A New Kind of Diversity provides sound advice for what leaders must do to build strong, collaborative, intergenerational teams at work. This wonderfully content captures Dr. Tim Elmore leadership experiences, expertise, and wisdom as he identifies the characteristics and contributions of each generation, lessons learned from each generation, and steps for connecting the various generations.

A New Kind of Diversity points out that each generation brings their differences in personal opinions, personal assumptions, and personal demands, and effective leaders must identify these differences within each team member. While this work is hard, it is important that seasoned, experienced leaders must pass wisdom on to the young so that they can then surpass us by standing on our shoulders.

Learning how we can work with the many generations in our organizations will make us more effective leaders and will help us build leaders within each generation. A New Kind of Diversity is not only about generations, memories, and experiences but also how we can use these experiences to build a better future in our workplaces.
