We will discuss Discipline in the Workplace, utilizing new or refreshed tools. You will gain a more in depth understanding, a "How to effectively document"the Unsatisfactory performer. We will discuss successful ways to effectively communicate with Union Leaders and Representatives, build a lasting relationships. You will discuss methods to minimize grievances being filed by your Union Representative and successfully prevail in those filed grievances
Managers today face varied challenges in managing a union workforce. We will engage in discussions regarding the major topics in Managing Union employees, such as Proper methodology for Just Cause Discipline, A thorough “how to” as to the Unsatisfactory Performer and if not minimizing then Successfully handling any grievances The information presented in this Workshop will reduce time and costs for your organization as Managers will perform more effectively and efficiently, as they embrace positive employee and labor-management relationships.
There will be interactive exercises, In the Documenting The Unsatisfactory Performer module there will be four Documentation exercises of disciplinary letters and grievance meetings for the participants to review and critique followed by an improved version offered.
During the "Discipline In The Workplace" there will be two exercises the first one will be that of a "Consistency Test" the participants will choose the correct level of discipline for on premise Discipline and Off Premise Discipline followed by an "improved" version offered.
In the Successfully Handling Grievances we will have participants engage in two mock grievances given a set of facts presented to resolve the grievance. All participants will critique the Mock exercise and the Workshop leader will provide guidelines to ensure success
