Lynne Smelser is a scholar, research, educator and published author. For the past 15 years she has worked with companies to enhance their communication. Her body of work includes numerous articles in academic journals as well as general readership publications such as Newsweek Magazine.
A former member of the national board of the Association for Women in Communications, she has worked as a communications consultant since 2008. She holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University in rhetoric and technology. In addition, she has earned a master's degree in professional writing, and a bachelor's degree in journalism.
She has earned national awards for her writing and has created online learning content for Michigan State University, Purdue University, and Baker College among others.
