Tim Lombardo

Lead Staff Scientist, Covance Food Solutions

Tim Lombardo is the Covance Food Solutions Lead Staff Scientist for Food Microbiological and Food Safety Consulting. With over 25 years of food safety experience, Tim has held many key food industry positions including production, quality, and sanitation, at both the factory and corporate level. In addition to being a certified consultant for Safe Quality Food (SQF) and the British Retail Consortium (BRC), Tim also is a Lead Instructor with the International HACCP Alliance, Lead Instructor for FDA Food Safety Preventive Controls for Human Food, and a Qualified Individual for FDA Food Safety Preventive Controls for Animal Food.

Along with his colleagues at Covance, Tim provides consulting services in all areas of food microbiology and food safety: Microbiological Harborage Site Investigations (pathogenic, indicator, spoilage organisms) FDA and USDA Regulatory Support Food Defense, Food Security, and Food Fraud GFSI Certification Consulting Food Safety Plan (HACCP and FSPC) Development / Validation Wet and Dry Sanitation System Development / Validation Process Authority Review and Documentation Public and Private HACCP and Preventive Control Training Customized Education Workshops in Food Microbiology and Food Safety
