Dr Anjan Banerjee is Managing director of Medical Safety Solutions Ltd, and an independent Pharmaceutical Physician and Consultant Surgeon. He has wide experience of over 60 global risk management programs, is a member of the ENCePP network of EMA and has been involved in multiple EU and US regulatory filings, regulatory projects and the design of clinical development programs, including numerous RM implementation and evaluation programs. He is also Hon. Senior Fellow, Nottingham University and previously a Faculty member in Regulatory, Drug Safety and Risk Management at the Institute of Biotechnology, Cambridge University, has published widely in the field, and supervised over 10 MPhil students from that programme. Dr. Anjan was previously Head of drug safety, regulatory and clinical development and Deputy CEO at Pope Woodhead, whom he joined from Roche where he was a Global Drug Safety Physician. Swapu has over 15 years' experience in global pharmaceuticals, biotech and devices (clinical development, medical marketing), and more than 30 years' experience in healthcare, as well as being a currently practicing p/t Consultant in the NHS. Whilst a Management Consultant with McKinsey & Co, he completed a number of projects in pharmaceutical and medical devices, strategy, in-licensing, M&A, clinical development.
He has completed higher medical training in Pharmaceutical Medicine (as well as in Surgery) , MSc (Pharmacoepidemiology), MBBS (Distinc), MSc (Lond), DM (Nott’m) MBA, FRCP (Edin), FRCS(Gen), FRCS (Edin), FRCS (Glas), FAcadMEd, FICS, MFPM and FSB., and has co-authored a textbook on the Therapeutic risk management of medicines, published by Elsevier in 2014.
