What is the Enneagram?
The Enneagram is a simple, elegant and highly nuanced system which suggests that each of us experiences the world through one of nine lenses (personality types) which is founded on one central core motivation. It is profoundly useful in helping us understanding ourselves and our spiritual paths and understanding others from their own point of view and not our projections onto them.
The ENNEAGRAM offers us the means to identify those patterns of behavior which stand in the way of our personal growth, creativity and self-expression.
It is through the lenses of our personalities that we see the world, not as it is but as it appears to be. "Nothing is viewed clearly or objectively, but always through the intervening mist of likes and dislikes, partialities and prejudices, obsessions and idiosyncrasies."
Thus, this lens can be said to limit our experience. Inherent in this lens is both a profound core belief about ourselves that we tend to avoid and a reaction or compulsion against that belief.
Each reaction or compulsion limits us further in our ability to "see" clearly. When we move through and beyond the mist of our lens, we access greater resourcefulness, freedom and choice.
In Transforming Core Fears and Healing Compulsions: The Essence Process to Freedom we will explore the fears that underlie our personality, modes of perception, and instinctual drives and experience how these fears cause us to obscure our truest most beloved Self.
Participants will learn a simple and elegant psycho-spiritual practice for becoming aware of, allowing and transforming Core Fears. They can bring this practice home as an on-going psycho-spiritual practice and immediately begin to use it for themself and others.
All of us are driven by compulsive ways of thinking and obsessive ways of acting that are out of our control and limit us significantly. We all wish to be free from such obsessions and compulsions so that we can live lives of presence, lives where we are fully engaged, open hearted and open minded.
In this webinar, we will learn how to free ourselves so that we can live lives of true presence. We will discover that our compulsive and obsessive ways of being are a way of protecting ourselves from and binding the anxiety associated with profound core fears that we are afraid to face and transform.
We will discover that our personalities, which we believe are who we are, in fact are just one more compulsion that protects us from experiencing that which we are most afraid to admit about ourselves.
We will use the Enneagram as a framework that will be the road map that reveals both our personalities and the fears that underlie them.
